Carbon water filters have been used for centuries to filter contaminants from drinking water.
Toxic chemicals such as pesticides, nitrates and chlorine are filtered with activated carbon, made from coconut shells. This makes it ideal for water purification.
Activated carbon is also able to remove dissolved organic trace substances, such as insecticides or drug residues, from the water by adsorbing these substances.
Substances such as minerals and salts, however, remain in the water.
Activated carbon filters are typically rated based on the size of particles they can remove. At 0.5 microns, our filters are the most effective on the market.
